Law enforcement duties include maintaining peace in the county, ensuring offenders enter into bonds, and committing those who refuse.
Administrative duties involve serving as the county’s jailor, overseeing the courthouse, and managing bookkeeping and record-keeping tasks, including serving as the county librarian and maintaining various reports and documents in the courthouse.

We do offer local background checks for the public. If you live inside the county there is no fee. If you live outside of the county the fee is $5 CASH. You can request this IN PERSON with a valid ID at the Sheriff’s Office Monday- Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
